While dealers are always discussing ways a fair can be improved, one issue raised at this year’s TEFAF Maastricht by a number of exhibitors was whether the fair should move to Amsterdam.

The second week of Maastricht’s TEFAF is usually quieter than the first but a consistent trickle of visitors continued to pass through the fair into the final days.

The official opening day of TEFAF Maastricht continued to glean sales for dealers with a number of strong six-figure sales adding to the handful of seven-figure sales reported at yesterday’s preview event.

Yesterday at his stand Geoffrey Munn, managing director at jeweller dealer Wartski, described the Maastricht TEFAF fair as "a fascinating mix of art and mammon".
