ALISTAIR Morris joined King and Chasemore in 1978 shortly before it amalgamated with Sotheby’s in 1979. He built up the collectors’ department, becoming a recognised authority and writing definitive books on metal toys and a price guide to automobilia. The highly successful Antiques from the Garden was first published in 1996.
