‘Victorian replica’ unveiled as original Wolsey coat of arms

An oak and polychrome carving of Cardinal Thomas Wolsey’s coat of arms has been rediscovered following research by St James’s art dealership Simon Dickinson. The firm believes it is the “only contemporary wooden carving of Wolsey’s coat of arms known to still exist”.
