Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association

Founded in 1974, the Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association, or PBFA, is a larg association of second-hand booksellers. The association organises over 70 fairs of second-hand, collectable and rare books in the UK each year.

These fairs include various ‘premier’ fairs such as the York Book Fair, London Book Fair and Oxford Book Fair.

Take your Wilton pick at PBFA fair

In ATG No 2380 February 23 I wrote a piece on the annual antiques fair held at Wilton House in Wiltshire from Friday to Saturday, March 8-10. It is worth noting that the Provincial Booksellers’ Association (PBFA) is running an antiquarian and out-of-print book fair at the Michael Herbert Hall in the village of Wilton on Sunday, March 10.

Two antiquarian book fairs held by the Antiquarian Booksellers Association (ABA) and Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association (PBFA) kicked off Rare Books London last week. The ABA’s London International Antiquarian Book ran from June 1-3 and the PBFA’s London International Premier Fair ran from June 1-2. Largest PBFA book fair gets set to open in Oxford

This weekend Oxford hosts the PBFA’s 100-dealer antiquarian and out-of-print book premier fair, one of the largest in the association’s calendar. It is held at the Oxford Brookes Wheatley Campus on Saturday and Sunday, April 22-23.
