A number of French auction houses will be holding sales of Modern and Contemporary art to coincide with FIAC, the annual Paris fair devoted to Contemporary art, which takes place this year from October 21-24.

Part of a medieval manuscript stolen in Italy more than 30 years ago has been returned with the help of London firm Bloomsbury Auctions.

Adam’s Asian art sale in Dublin on November 23 includes this landscape titled Sunset Kanchenjunga by Jamini Prokash Gangooly (1876-1953) estimated at €4000-6000.
