In May contemporary art sales totalled $868 million in New York and in June £220 million in London, three times the previous year's total.

New Gulf art and antique fairs will offer cut-price stands
19 March 2007DETAILS have been released of the two new Middle East fairs at Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Organised by British company Turret Middle East Ltd, the fairs director is Fran Foster, who for a decade put together the Antiques For Everyone fairs at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre.
